When you change your life, it is the mind you have to overcome– not the results.
We have an inspiring video to share with you today from one of our favorite YouTube vloggers. In this episode
It is so easy to get lost in the progress and be obsessed in the focus of the results, but in order to overcome the mind — you should be more focused on the process.
It is totally okay to be obsessed in your commitments and daily choices. It is not healthy to be obsessed checking the scale every hour. Align your focus to what you actually have control over.
You can’t place judgment or meaning in your results alone.
When you are looking at your results, it should be information or data to help you restructure your process. We need to let the results be information detach from the meaning.
It is so easy to go to a deeper meaning in the results and let the doubt creep up in the process. This is typically were most people quit and fail. In order to keep your life aligned with actually getting the results, it is truly the process that is your strength.
Know yourself and what you need in times of change.
You want to approach change knowing yourself, even your triggers, so that you can further take care of yourself in the process. Emotions will always come up during the process of change. You will find a deeper sense of control and confidence when you are able to anticipate your needs and help yourself through the emotional dips that happen.
Our minds are driven by patterns. You can watch the patterns of your mind and start to notice who you really are when you are experiencing change. Be sure to detach from this meaning as well, it is JUST information.
If you don’t know your patterns, the best place to start truly is your body. The body doesn’t lie, the mind will play tricks on you. The body can show you your own patterns, behaviors, and beliefs.
For example: If you don’t have time to meal prep and keep looking for the quick fix with fast food, this also shows up in other areas of your life when you are trying to see change happen. Your pattern will be that you don’t have time and are in constant search for the quick fix that is toxic for your health.
The blocks come forward when you try to stay consistent in anything for 30 days. It is essential to learn about yourself in change, so that you know what you need and can prepare yourself for success.
“In order to change your life, your mind must trust your behavior.”
