Reminders are beautiful.. when they work.
Everyone needs a good reminder. We all set reminders for work, to do lists, grocery lists, chores.. but what about reminders of who we are and what we are capable of?
Lots of people teach about affirmations, but usually these tend to be so broad the meaning and power get lost in the process.
We want to share with you how we use reminders and affirmations really work.
Honesty is the power in your affirmations.
Let’s say that you are behind on your bills and drowning in debt. The way affirmations are typically taught would tell you to recite the affirmation: I am abundant.
This is a beautiful statement, but I highly doubt your mind will actually accept this phrase as truth and will most likely show you the evidence of how you couldn’t be further away from that.
When you get really honest with yourself, you can find the affirmations and reminders that actually work.
What about: I don’t know how my bills will be paid, but I know I am resilient and I will find a way through this.
NOW you are able to find a little sliver of hope, and you feel authentic in your soul AND your mind.
Don’t get broad, get clear.
You need to get out of the pattern of speaking in poem when it comes to your mind. Your soul will absolutely love your broad statements, but when it comes to your mind and your strategy — it is essential to get clear and honest.
Your goals require simplicity, truth, and clarity.
Once you have this clarity, you will understand the steps, feel hope, and take the steps necessary to reach your goals.
“In order to make a plan, you have to be real and honest.”
